Annual Campaigns
The United Way of Northern Ozaukee campaign runs from September through December It is comprised of five sectors:
- Large Business
A number of area business employees, area school system employees, city and county government employees participate in workplace campaigns where employees donate through payroll deduction or cash donations. - Heritage Society
Those employees, who donate $250 per year or $5 per week and above, become members of the Heritage Society. Each year the names of Heritage donors are printed in the Heritage brochure and in the Ozaukee Press. Last year 150 leadership givers donated 31% of the $175,000 raised. Encourage your employees to be Leadership givers. - Small Business
Business owners donate through a yearly mailing. - Community Organizations
A few community organizations elect to donate funds to the United Way. - Residential Mailing
Every September, area residents receive a United Way of Northern Ozaukee mailing to which they are asked to respond.
Every year our local Board of Directors sets the Campaign Goal based on the financial needs of the programs we fund. Ozaukee County health and human service agencies apply for funding annually. Applications are reviewed and agency directors are interviewed before financial support decisions are made.
