2018 UWNO Campaign Co-Chair Bob Henkle

Bob Henkle - Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. Law Firm

Having lived more than a half century in Ozaukee County, mostly in Port Washington, Bob Henkle is rooted in the United Way of Northern Ozaukee (UWNO) campaign territory. As the children of one of Port’s primary family physicians, Bob and his five siblings, including campaign co-chair Bill, had early and regular exposure to the acute needs of area residents. An attorney, Bob has spent his entire career in Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren’s Milwaukee office, primarily advising middle market businesses and their owners on a broad range of legal and business issues. Along the way, as a United Way contributor for more than three decades, former board member and chair of a United Way agency (Parenting Network) and as a multi-year leader of his firm’s United Way campaign, Bob has seen the powerful and sustaining impact United Way has had on the people, agencies and communities it serves.

Bob and his wife Ruth, a former UWNO co-chair, reside in Port Washington, the community in which he, his four adult children and Ruth’s adult son all grew up.

Three of the key reason’s Bob believes UWNO should be a part of your charitable giving plan if you live or work in our community are:

1. It’s focused. All of the participating agencies supported by UWNO are based here and primarily serve the health and human service needs of Ozaukee County residents.

2. It’s efficient. With a small but highly capable and dedicated staff and a large pool of committed volunteers, UWNO raises funds at a cost far less than most charities.

3. It provides accountability. UWNO not only gets donations to where they are needed but also monitors those investments to make sure they are being used effectively and as intended.

To get the message out, Bob looks forward to serving as a co-chair of the 2018-19 UWNO campaign along with Karl and Carol Hertz and his brother, Bill.
