Ozaukee Jail Literacy

Ozaukee Jail Literacy
Partner since 1992

Our partnership with OJLP is designed to support individuals who are incarcerated and working towards reintegration into society.  Through educational resources, we offer pathways to success and help individuals rebuild their lives upon release.

United Way of Northern Ozaukee-Funded Program: Educational Opportunities

The Ozaukee Jail Literacy Program provides educational opportunities for incarcerated adults, aiming to enhance their literacy skills and help them earn their GED or HSED. Through these opportunities, inmates learn the importance of education and goal setting, improve their personal and employment potential, earn their GED or HSED, and gain a sense of self-worth and accomplishment. All of these skills ultimately contribute to a reduction in recidivism.

Mission

To provide educational opportunities to incarcerated adults through compassionate delivery of services and community support in a secular, non-discriminatory educational environment
